Generating API Keys

The first step to interacting with our API is to generate an API key.

Generating an API Key

Generating an API key is easy and accessible for all administrators. At this time, anyone who is not an administrator within your organization cannot generate keys.

To generate a key, you need to first go to your organization management page.

From this page click on the "Generate New API Key" button at the top right to generate your key. You can give your key a short and memorable name to remind you the use case. Naming keys also allows you to know which key is used on what application or for what purpose.

Your API key will now be displayed for you to copy.

Important: Your full API key will only be displayed once. So please copy it and keep it secure. You can always generate another if you lose or misplace it.

Revoking an API Key

If you need to change your API key for any reason or want to revoke access for any reason you can revoke access in the UI. Like above, go to the organization management screen and click the API Keys tab.

Within this tab you will see a list of your API keys. For any active API keys you can click the word "revoke" to revoke an api key.

Revoke API Key

Any API key you revoke will immediately lose access to any of your prompts on the Izlo platform. Please be careful to revoke the correct one or you may need to generate a new API key for any applications that may have been using the API key which was revoked.
